The Children's Ministry at First United Methodist Church, Springtown is dedicated to offering wonderful opportunities for your children each Sunday and throughout the week! Our goal through the Children's Ministries is to provide programs that are full of wisdom, fun and fellowship!
Sunday School starts at 10 am every Sunday morning! There are two classes for children 3 years old - 5th grade. We also provide a nursery for Children under 3.
Rock Solid is our Children's Chapel curriculum that we use during the 11:00 am worship time. Children attend the first part of worship with their parents. After a Children's sermon, delivered by the pastor, children aged 3 - 8 are invited to attend Rock Solid, which is a special program designed to teach kids to be solid in their faith.
Live Big is a program that we offer on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 7:30 for children 3 years old - 5th grade. During this time, the Children's choir has a short rehearsal. Then the children learn to LIVE their Belief In God (Live Big)! The children participate in interactive activities and do a craft each week in order to link the Bible story with a sensory experience.
Extra Opportunities throughout the year include the Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Vacation Bible School and the Christmas Festival. The Annual Easter Egg Hunt usually takes place the Saturday before Easter at 11:00 am and includes a hot dog lunch. Vacation Bible School is offered during a week in the summer and gives kids the chance to learn fun new songs, learn more about the Bible, while spending time fellowshipping with one another. The Christmas Festival, held in December, offers kids a chance to have their picture taken with Santa. Children can also see a Live Nativity, go on a hayride, do crafts, hear Christmas stories and eat Christmas cookies. This is fun for the whole family!
A Nursery is offered during all worship services and during some other functions, as well. The nursery is staffed by a paid and highly trained worker who offers quality care for your children.
One of our big concerns at First United Methodist Church, Springtown is the safety of all of the children who attend our programs. As a proactive step in insuring the safety of all who participate, we have a Safe Sanctuary policy in place that will ensure that all children will be safe. For more information about this policy, contact the church office at (817)523-7874.
If you would like more information about any of the programs that we offer or if you would like to get your children involved, please contact the office. We are now looking for a new Children's Ministry leader.
